Where's the motivation?

Have you ever had that a-ha moment?  That moment when you say enough is enough?  I've been putting off this lifestyle change for so long and am slowly incorporating different things into my life, such as having 2 days of 5k in 100 days under my belt, but I haven't dived in head first.  Today as I sit here in my messy house with absolutely no motivation to clean or exercise.  I'm wondering why I haven't had that a-ha moment?  When is it my turn? Below is a couple of my favorite quotes from Tony Robbins.
"If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten."
"I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret."
I need to be constant and consistent in losing this weight.  It will not come off sitting on the couch waiting for that a-ha moment to hit.  I'm inspired by so many of the weightloss blogs that I read on a daily basis, and how much some of you have accomplished.  I have over 100 pounds to get off of my body, and health issues such a high blood pressure and pre diabetes.  How much more motivation do I need?  How about my family? I owe it to them and myself to take better care of my health.  It's time I start taking my life and my health more seriously.

This Monday is the start to my very first challenge, it's the Slimmer this Summer Challenge at Debbie Does Dieting.  I'm excited about starting, and I'm looking forward to the support and making of friends that this challenge will bring.  I will be posting my goals for this challenge over the weekend. I will accomplish all of my goals, because I will not quit until I hit goal.

  1. You'll love getting into challenges. It sure helps motivate. Soon you'll be finding reason TO go exercise instead of excuses not to.

  2. I have such a hard time getting out and running, but I feel amazing when I'm done. I just need that extra push to get me going and I know that the challenges are what I need. I can get pretty competitive at times.

  3. You WILL have that moment! You are on the right track and by blogging about it and telling others, you are holding yourself accountable!! That's why I blog.. I know I have a following who depends on me to stay focused and keep pushing! I was feeling out of it yesterday and this morning and my boyfriend pushed me to get up and get outside and I ended up walking/running a 5K and you get on that workout high that is like nothing else! Before long, you're addicted! I'm sure the challenge will help keep you focused..I do challenges on facebook that keep me on point. Keep your head in the game!!
